PRACTICING THE “NEURO ARTS” Part 2
Last weekend, I was at the NEFESH International Conference in Parsippany, New Jersey. This is an annual in-person event where therapists from all over the world, (including Israel, Australia, Europe, South America, all over the United States in Canada) etc., gather to learn from each other and to network with each other in a context of sharing. Additionally, this conference is very inspiring enhanced by the spirituality of being held over a Sabbath. So, there’s also a Shabbaton/Retreat experience.
I usually attend with a very close friend of mine who was unavailable this year. Because of that, I knew I needed to stay very busy and sublimate my energies . Earlier in the year, I submitted a proposal that to follow up my July webinar on the Neuro Arts. was accepted and presented Sunday afternoon as I mentioned in the last installment that I was presenting 2 o’clock yesterday, Sunday the 22nd on custom toolbox for your clients the Neuro parts. We spoke about is the various ways how the Neuro Arts can enhance peoples well-being. We showed how age is not a factor. How very small children video link as well as elderly people such as the age of 92 in the case of Angelo who sings Puccini with complete diaphragmatic control of his breath and unbelievable, vocal quality, pitch, timbre, and breath control!
But additionally, I used my own Neuro Arts gifts to share with some of the attendees of the confere(nce. For instance, Friday and Sunday morning I conducted what I call mindful moments and taught some basic breathing techniques such as my “Basic Breathing for Beginners – BBB” (HERE), my Breathing Contest™ (HERE) as well as a simple meditations.
Additionally, I brought my guitar along, offered a Kumzitz/sing-along before candle lighting. It was highly fruitful, and a prominent Rebbetzin Los Angeles (whom I am very fond of), attended enjoying it. (Those women insisted that I do it again and implored the directors of the conference to find me another slot, which occurred after the Havdala ceremony.) We got together again and not only did we sing songs that were familiar to everyone, they asked me to sing some of my own original compositions (girls and women, feel free to join my Women’s Corner here on my website). So, not only was I talking and teaching and professing about the Neuro Arts this weekend, I was also living the neuro arts as I participated in the program.
Feel free to enjoy some of the handouts that I gave and enjoy these videos that might fascinate you below.
Blessings and finding your own Neuro Arts activities. (HERE)
