In in Memory of Dr. Samuel and Joan Ellis Shatkin, ob”m. is excited to announce its upcoming auction event for the Western New York Jewish community.
A live and silent art auction, coinciding with the 13th yahrzeit of Dr. Shatkin, a dedicated art enthusiast and collector. The TELLL Fund is thrilled to feature a piece from Dr. Shatkin’s own private collection. The event will also include live entertainment and offer kosher refreshments for all attendees.

- Assistance with PR and Marketing (We’ll provide all the materials! Just let us know):
- Delivering Flyers
- Posting on Social Media – Facebook, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.
- Sending Out Emails
- Making Phone Calls
- Procuring Easels (need dozens – Minimum 15 for stage) – galleries, stores, “Michaels”
- Procuring Clipboards (need dozens of clipboards or alternative)
- Registration and Clerical Support the Day of the Event (Sunday, May 19th, 2:30-6:00)
- Setup – Food and Decor
- Setup – Artwork and Silent Auction Materials
- Cleanup – Food and Decor
- Cleanup – Artwork and Silent Auction Materials
- Beverage Purchase (TELLL Fund will reimburse*) chubby water bottles – 300+)
- Assistance Labeling and Collating Printed Materials (water bottles, swag, etc.)
- Food Purchase and Delivery to Preparation Sites
- Décor Purchase and Delivery to TBZ (2:30 – Sunday, the 19th of May)
- Borrowing Clipboards or Mocking Up Backing Boards for Silent Auctions
- Silent Auction Assistants (3 or 4 needed)
- Live Auction Assistant (preferably a strong male to carry artwork)
*The TELLL Fund will reimburse unless you would like
